Forgery and Embezzlement
Forgery comes in many different forms. It can be as simple as signing someone else's name to a document. Often it is part of an identity theft case where it is claimed that someone used someone else's checking account or credit card to make a purchase. Depending on the nature of the offense it can be either a felony or a misdemeanor.
Embezzlement is the conversion of money that is in your possession but which does not belong to you to your personal use. For example if you are a clerk in a store or bank and you use the money for your personal benefit.
